Does anyone know what year the 316 was upgraded from a 1.6 to 1.8 engine
, I think it was about 1983 (U.K. Y Reg.), also is this related to the
single/twin headlamp configuration. Also, how easy is it to get hold of parts
and how expensive. Any info on these would be greatly appreciated.

At the risk of starting an unfounded rumor…
I just got an 850 Turbo and someone at work mentioned that he had heard
about a recall on 850 airbags.  Anyone heard of such a thing?

Hi,

I’m looking for a way to contact UAZ of America or UAZ exporters in Europe.

UAZ is a Russian military 4 wheel drive that is being exported.

I tried 800 information — no help.

My dad just got his latest toy, and I was quite impressed with its stock
Bose system.  On a quick inspection, it has two (sub?)woofers in the rear deck,
mids in the doors and tweets/hi mounted inside the door pillars.  With
CD in player, I cranked it.  The thing close to pounds.  I wonder if
anyone is familiar with what kind of system the thing has, and if it
employs an amplifier to get the volume it does.  Plus if the head unit has
preouts.  The instruction manual isn’t very helpful.

Hi!

Opinions and information requested on maintainence for following

cars 1983- 1985 model years:

        – Pontiac Parisenne SW
        – Chevy Caprice SW
        – Oldsmobile Cruiser SW

Which of these vehicles has a better track record?

I am going to buy a new car next year and I want air cinditioning.  Only
problem is CFCs and what AC does to the ozone layer.  Is there any kind
of technology that will not put CFCs into the air.

Also, the air cond that is being used today will be outlawed in several
years.  What is going to replace AC as we now know it.

Please respond to this with e-mail to me.  I need the answers in order to
buy a new car soon…

Hey now,

        I live in NY.  I just bought a truck from a dealer in Ct.
        who did the registration for me.  Well he got commercial plates
        and said thats all they would give him.

        I’ve called motor vehicles.  One person says just come in and
        switch it.  Another says I have to have a cab.  A friend who
        has a truck says I just need a bed cover.  I’ve seen *many*
        trucks with regular NY plates without any cabs or covers.

        So… any advice on how to get these plates switched with
        out a major hassle?

        Will Chrysler develop an overhead cam V8 to compete with Ford’s
modular V8 and GM’s Northstar? The Concorde, LHS and Newyorker could
use a medium displacement V8.

Well, I have included the Ford T-Bird LX/SC has a possibility for my
next car.  Any opions anybody?  I was looking at that new modular V-8
engine.  Any feedback would be much appreciated.  Anybody have any
dealer invoice/cost pricing out there?  (If not, I’ll either stop by
the library or pay CR for their fax reports, even though I would
still LOVE to know how much a dealer’s COST is after their own
incentives/rebates from the manufacture vs INVOICE (HA!))  (Sorry for
the run-on sentance!)
